Michael Rush - Founder

Michael began his career working in New Product Development and Marketing Research for some of the most respected marketing companies in the world: General Mills, PepsiCo and General Foods. Some of his brands included: Pop Secret microwave popcorn, Grape Nuts, Great Grains and Banana Nut Crunch cereals and Pizza Hut. Great places to learn his trade.

At NordicTrack, he designed, launched and managed the NordicFlex Gold strength trainer. It started with a rough product concept and a team of one – him. Eighteen months later NordicFlex Gold had a dedicated team of nearly 500 people and $140 million in annual revenues. Product Development, Building Organizations and high velocity Marketing were all critical to success.

At USA Direct, Michael built an annual business of $450 million in two years starting with a team of one. It was all new products - driven by high velocity marketing.

At RedTag.com, he deployed Direct Response marketing and grew the business from a $1 million annual rate to a $10 million rate in…..4 days! Again, the power of high velocity marketing and messaging in the right hands.

His business record is important in the context of Sidecar, but he has some political chops as well. In the mid 90’s, MNDot fronted by the Met Council was trying to build 5 toll roads in MN starting with HWY 212 through Eden Prairie. The EP City Council announced they were rock solid 5-0 in favor of the project. Michael held the first meeting of EP Citizens Against Toll Roads with 12 people in his living room. Six months later, on the night of the vote, they brought 2,000 people to the City Council Chamber and secured a vote of 4-1 against the project.

Paul Jackson - Political Strategy

Paul has deep experience in the workings of both Minnesota and national politics. He has operated both within the Party and on the outside including a stint as a Washington lobbyist. He knows how the process works - more importantly, he has the hard won experience to know where it does not work!
A sample of his work shows his incredible range of knowledge:

However, before any political work, Paul is a successful entrepreneur. Given that he can fly virtually any plane from a Jumbo Jet to a Piper Cub (even WWII fighters) Paul gravitated to the highly competitive aviation industry where he created an international aircraft brokerage business as well as a aircraft management business. 

His knowledge of how the political sausage is made at all levels is invaluable, but his ability to combine this with private sector market-making puts him in position to see the big picture of winning elections from a unique vantage point.

Bob Fallen - Bio

Bob is an accomplished professional in sports management, brand marketing, business development and media communications. He has run complex organizations including America's premier Junior (pre-college) Hockey League (the USHL). 

Further as a national Publisher Bob is deeply experienced at using the written and spoken word to get his point across. Messaging is a major problem for conservatives at all levels, including Minnesota. Bob brings decades of solving this problem to the table at Sidecar. 

Bob has also been busy on the political side of things. He founded Local Elections Matter, a non-profit organization with a mission to inform citizens about local school board and city council governance processes. The MNGOP is virtually absent at the local level. Bob is building the team to address this critical area. 

Remember the mask mandates? Bob was central in putting a stake in the heart of the mask nonsense. A resident of Minnetonka, Fallen teamed with the Upper Midwest Law Center to file a lawsuit against the City of Minnetonka for an "emergency mask mandate", implemented despite the wishes of 80% of residents. Bob and the UMLC prevailed, Minnetonka backed down and within a matter of weeks, the mandates were abandoned statewide! 

A staunch supporter of the Minnesota Parents Alliance and their efforts to improve K-12 education in Minnesota, Fallen works alongside former state legislator, Ken Wolf, to prepare financial analyses of public school district revenue sources to combat the prevailing and false narrative that public schools are underfunded. An article he wrote for Alpha News, The Inconvenient Truth About Public Education detailed the stark decline in standardized test scores statewide and the inept leadership of public education at the state and local level.
